Who we are
Ikvergelijkonline.nl is operated by Lamperjee Digital B.V., a Dutch private limited company registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce under number 86771930 (VAT NL864079618B01), based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The website is a purely informational, independent comparison platform. Its sole financial-services-related category is Dutch funeral insurance (uitvaartverzekering), a small-sum insurance product covering funeral costs. The website also compares non-financial services such as internet, mobile and energy subscriptions.
What we do
We publish indicative premiums, coverage details and policy conditions based on publicly available product information from licensed Dutch insurers: DELA, Monuta, a.s.r., Twenthe and De Laatste Eer. All of these insurers are supervised by the Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank, DNB) and the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).
Our comparison tool is anonymous: visitors do not need to provide any personal data to compare policies.
What we do not do
We do not sell or broker insurance, we do not provide personal financial advice, we do not collect premiums, and no financial transaction can take place on our website. Visitors who wish to take out a policy are redirected to the insurer’s own website, where the entire application and transaction takes place.
Compensation
We may receive an advertising fee from insurers for referred traffic. This is disclosed on every page of the website. The fee has no influence on the premium a visitor pays, on the premiums shown, or on the order of the comparison.
Regulatory status under Dutch law
Under the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht, Wft), an AFM licence is required for advising on or mediating in financial products (Articles 2:75 and 2:80 Wft). Purely informing and comparing — without advising, mediating, or any involvement in concluding contracts — is not a licensable activity under Dutch law.
Our activities are therefore exempt from AFM licensing requirements. The insurers featured in our comparison hold the required licences and are supervised by DNB and the AFM.
